[snippets] A little treat I bought for myself.

Even though we live in a digital world, I love the feeling of putting pen to paper. I am a notorious list maker in my household. My husband once accumulated a basket full of lists he found around the house and at that time, I briefly wondered if I was a little bit crazy. (To be fair, we were in the process of moving, and there were lots of things that needed to be done).

I used to try and savor my finest stationery, but recently, I've decided not to be afraid to use my nicest sheets for everyday tasks.

During a recent trip to Savannah, I stopped in one of my favorite shops, The Paris Market. It's a gorgeous warehouse style store with a lower basement level filled with beautiful homewares, perfume, chocolates, and of course, stationery.

I decided to treat myself for a list-style notepad featuring a fancy horse couple toasting…something…somewhere. The artwork just made me laugh and feel like yes, why not celebrate like a horse dressed as an equestrian rider?

And while I don't use that paper for keyword lists (I save my plainest paper for those), I do use it for just about anything else, like ideas, grocery lists, and daily project priorities. I decided not to save it just for my best ideas ever about who knows what. Because just touching the heavy weight paper each day gives me a feeling of importance for the daily things that aren't glamorous, but make up my life.
